About — Gavin Batcheler
Thirty years of
practical counsel.
I am a dual Australia and UK-qualified lawyer with over 30 years’ experience in private practice with international law firms in Australia, London, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, as well as in-house. I am based in Sydney and most recently was a Director at Source Legal, providing flexible, in-house style legal services to small and medium-sized businesses.
Prior to that I spent 8 years with leading Australian firm Minter Ellison — including managing the Bangkok office — and more than 4 years in the Middle East with Clifford Chance, Freshfields and Al Tamimi in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia.
I have also worked in-house as General Counsel and Director of Business Development in the cinema business, and with a leading global digital cinema technology company based in Hong Kong.
